A gentle, creative day with two floral workshops in the Somerset countryside, celebrating seasonal flowers, slow craft, and homegrown food.

Step into the slower rhythm of late summer, where flowers spill from the garden and time softens at the edges. This is a day to gather, to create with your hands — printing petals onto cloth, weaving dried stems into something lasting, sharing food grown from the soil beneath your feet. Between moments of making, there is chatter, water, warmth, and quiet amongst the floral surroundings.

9:30am — Arrival

Guests are welcomed to Combe Head House with tea and coffee. Time to settle in, wander the garden, and soak up the surroundings.

10:00am — Flower Printing Workshop with Painted Palms

A relaxed, hands-on morning printing with fresh seasonal flowers. Discover natural colour, pattern, and simple techniques to create a beautiful botanical piece to take home.

12:00pm — Lunch on the Lawn

A long, leisurely lunch served outside (weather permitting), made with ingredients grown in our kitchen garden and sourced from local producers.

1:00pm — Dried Flower Workshop with floral artist Bex Partridge, Botanical Tales

An afternoon of slow creation guided by Bex. Craft your own dried flower piece using seasonal materials, learning gentle techniques and natural styling.

Around 4:00pm — Gentle Close

The day comes to a soft finish.

Guests are welcome to linger a little longer with herbal teas, wander the gardens, meet the goats, or enjoy a swim in the Victorian spring-fed pond before heading home feeling creatively nourished and restored.

There is plenty of accommodation on site if you’d like to arrive the day before or to make a weekend escape in Somerset.
