Wow, what a place!
We had THE BEST stay, it was the perfect weekend away for us, our best friends and their babies.
The interiors are gorgeous and its so spacious. The outdoor space is gorgeous, and going up to see the animals was so much fun, for the adults and the little ones.
Thanks so much Lara and Benedict, and your lovely boys who were so wonderful with Leo. We will certainly be back!

The Old Lodge is a delightful place to spend time and Lara's a wonderful host (her second-in-command little boy we met is also utterly charming).
We stayed with our two kids. So much space and the kitchen and dining room with fireplace were a wonderful place to read, play board games, cook and hang out. The kitchen is very well equipped - a pleasant surprise if you enjoy cooking as so many lets have terrible knives and pans! Also loved thumbing through Lara's collection of cookbooks! Lovely welcome hamper too.
The TV area on the first floor is perfect for family movie nights - cosy but plenty of room for everyone to stretch out. Lara was incredibly generous with her time, showing our kids (2 and 8) her help, goats, chickens and ducks. The area is beautifully quiet and close to good pubs and eating options. Lara's area guide was also very helpful with finding paces to eat and see. We'd love to visit again when it's warmer to take advantage of the fab pond and forest walks.

The cottage - and Lara herself - are an absolute asset to Combe St Nicholas, as well as this being a true gem nestled in the gorgeous county of Somerset.
This place needs to be seen to be truly appreciated; inside and out it's a stunning property that's been beautifully decorated.
Our visit was led by us attending a wedding in the village, to which this cottage couldn't be situated more perfectly - just a stone's throw from the church!
We highly recommend anyone staying here - particularly those like us who were attending a local wedding - to make your trip a true home away from home!

We had the most magical stay here and have been welcomed by the family like old friends.
A peaceful week finished off by the best Halloween fun in the woods and village - trick or treating will never be the dame again!
We will be back!
